During my 10 mile run with the cross and American flag on Sunday September 13th 2015 a gentleman approached me and stated that his daughter Emeline Lakrout (a freelance writer) writes for the local High School (Reagan High School) paper and wanted to do a story on me. I was like of course she can as it will benefit her career and inform the local residents on who this guy running around with the cross and America flag is all about.
I knew the story would be out the last week of October but did not know exactly when and I also did not know how the story would turn out as well as not knowing what page the article would be located on. So it was this past Thursday October 29th I was running my normal 10 mile route and as I was crossing the crosswalk a SUV was turning in front of me granted I had the right of way so he stopped to let me go and then I hear a car slam in the back of the SUV. I stayed there to ensure everyone was OK. There were only minor scratches on both vehicles and blessed to know that no one was hurt. So I continued on my run which was difficult to do since I definitely do not want to see or experience accidents on my run. So I began to have negative thoughts. But as soon as I arrived home, God lifted me up to find myself on the front page of the Local paper with my story being told about why I run... God is good all the time!!!
